Color Team Review

The staged proposal review process — commonly Blue, Pink, Red, Gold, and White — used to mature a proposal before submission.

Color team reviews impose structure on proposal development. Blue reviews strategy and win themes, Pink reviews an early draft against the outline and approach, Red reviews a near-final draft as an evaluator would score it, Gold is the final executive sign-off, and White reviews pricing. The names vary by organization; what matters is that each review has a defined entry standard and that reviewers score against Section M rather than offering opinions.
