Service Contract Act (SCA)
The law requiring prevailing wages and fringe benefits for service employees on federal service contracts.
The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act requires contractors on covered service contracts above a dollar threshold to pay service employees no less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits set out in a Department of Labor wage determination attached to the solicitation. SCA wage determinations are not optional inputs to your price — they are floors, and mispricing them is a common and costly error.
