DFARS
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement — DoD-specific additions to the FAR.
DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) is the Department of Defense's supplement to the FAR. It adds DoD-specific clauses and procedures. The most visible DFARS clause for small contractors is DFARS 252.204-7012 (Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting), which ties directly to NIST SP 800-171 compliance and the emerging CMMC 2.0 program.
