CAGE Code

Commercial and Government Entity code — a five-character identifier assigned by the Defense Logistics Agency to uniquely identify suppliers.

The Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code is a five-character alphanumeric ID assigned by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Commercial and Government Entity Program. U.S. entities receive CAGE codes automatically as part of SAM.gov registration. Foreign entities must work with the NATO Support Agency to obtain an NCAGE. CAGE codes are required on most Department of Defense solicitations and are used throughout DoD and federal logistics systems.
