SDVOSB

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business — SBA/VA program for firms owned by service-disabled veterans.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) are small businesses at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans. SDVOSB certification is handled through SBA's Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) platform. The federal government has a 3% contracting goal for SDVOSBs. The VA runs a separate "Vets First" program under Public Law 109-461 that gives SDVOSB and VOSB firms first priority on VA contracts.
