Glossary term
Amendment
A formal change to a solicitation before the closing date, which offerors must acknowledge.
An amendment modifies the solicitation — extending the due date, revising requirements, or publishing answers to industry questions. Every amendment must be acknowledged in the proposal, usually on the SF-30 or in the offer form. Failure to acknowledge an amendment is a classic, entirely avoidable reason proposals are found non-responsive and eliminated without evaluation.
