Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)
A simplified method for filling anticipated repetitive needs by establishing charge accounts with qualified sources.
A Blanket Purchase Agreement is not a contract; it is an arrangement that lets an agency place recurring orders without a separate procurement each time. BPAs may be established against GSA Schedule contracts or under simplified acquisition procedures. Because BPAs concentrate future ordering with a small set of holders, winning a place on one is often more valuable than winning any single order under it.
